Wow, it’s been a minute since my last outfit post! One thing I miss about working in retail is getting to dress up everyday and always having new content for you guys. I do dress up often but always forget to snap a pic. So today, I embraced Read More
In less then a week I will be celebrating my 21st birthday. Although I’m still in college and figuring out life, I feel like this is the first un-official shift into the real world. Some of you are probably thinking Read More
I’m sure I speak for a mass of people when I say Christmas is my favorite holiday. There is something about the excitement in the weeks leading up to Christmas that radiates such pure joy. If I could, I would pull all of the stops for Christmas decor and turn my house into a freaking winter wonderland but with only a few weeks to decorate and a college budget (ha) we had to get creative this Christmas.
My parents surprised my roommates and I with a real Christmas tree at our doorstep Sunday night. We had already planned on putting out our beautiful fake one but didn’t want to miss out on the freshness of the memorable pine scent. So now we have two trees and you can only imagine how freaking excited I am (hint: my second time using the word ‘freaking’).
My roommate, Lizzie, ordered these adorable mini prints from Social Print Studio a while back and I’m so glad we brought them out and stuck them on our tree. We added candy canes for an extra Christmas touch and are all obsessed with how it turned out.
After posting videos of the tree on my Insta Story (@viclynstinson) and receiving such positive feedback, I decided to share the idea with all of you. I hope it inspired a new way to Christmas this holiday season and I’d love to see pictures of your version of our modern Christmas Tree.
For as long as I can remember, it is a tradition for my mom and myself along with one of my best friends and her mom to take a short road trip and experience Black Friday shopping to the fullest. We spent this past weekend in Houston, Texas (literally) shopping until we dropped and our credit cards wore 😂 We took advantage of so many deals and knocked our Christmas lists out cold. It was a successful trip to say the least.
At Smith & Wollensky – the cutest steak house on Westheimer that reminded me of a lunch spot we hit this past summer on Sunset Blvd. (which I have still yet to blog about 😩)
Came home to fresh roses and delicious gumbo (the way to my heart).
On the next post I’ll share a super cute and unique way to decorate your Christmas tree that you’ll definitely want to steal! So stay tuned xx

Happy New Year, babes! Before I jump into 2017, I want to look back at 2016 and how amazing it has been. First off, I had the opportunity to travel to a place that I have never been before and experience things that will forever live in me. I also turned 19, which has been truly incredible (thus far), solely because of the people I’ve shared with it. And lastly, I did something that was both exciting and scary for me – I moved out. I feel like each year gets better than the last and that is something to truly be grateful for.
Now on to my resolutions! I’m as guilty as the next person when it comes to making resolutions and actually sticking to them. I am going to overcome that weakness by printing out my resolutions and putting them in a common place in my home. This will allow me to see them everyday and keep myself motivated. (Scroll down for pretty printouts!)
What are your 2017 New Year’s Resolutions?
Thanks to Marianna Hewitt from Life with Me for the printouts!
