1 Shirt, 6 Ways

How many times have you stood in your closet and said the words, “I have nothing to wear.” Well, I am officially calling bs on that excuse and proving to you how simple it is to create a look.

With summer, comes a new dress code. With a new dress code, comes confusion. Looking at summer from a fashion point of view, you either love it or you hate it. Reasons you might love it: sundresses, dressing up everyday, fun patterns, shorts. Reasons you might hate it: sundresses, dressing up everyday, fun patterns, shorts. So, it really just depends on the things your view of it. If you have to dress up every day, it is inevitable that you’re going to struggle to come up with fresh, new looks. The trick to overcoming this is by learning how to take one item and transform it into something totally new. So, to prove how easy it is. I’ve picked one very geometric and structured white top and styled it six different ways.

The key here is to focus on all of your basics. In case you don’t know, your basics include boyfriend jeans, sleek skinny jeans, bell bottom or boot cut jeans, an a-line skirt, black trousers, etc. Pair a simple top with any of those items and you’ve got an outfit. So, I’ve taken the basics and created a few different looks with them.

Each outfit is equal parts as fashionable as it is fresh. You would have never noticed that it is the same shirt over and over again because the other 98% of the outfit is ever changing. As we learned from the Refinery 29 video series, Living With Lucy, most people wouldn’t even notice if you wore the same outfit everyday for a week.
