#foodgasm: Energy-Packed On-the-Go Snack

I’m the type of person who searches (almost endlessly) for fixes to things. I’ll spend an hour looking up ways to be more productive while wasting an hour of my time. I’m also famous for researching tips on how to procrastinate less which always leads to reorganizing my Pinterest board for the one hundred and fifth time. Do you see where I’m going here? Needless to say, all of this time I put into my “research” balances out with the neat things I find (which is why I’m 5.9 thousand pins deep!).  One of my most recent findings is this amazing and quick recipe. It’s great right before workouts for that needed energy or before a test for a little brain booster.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

-1 Apple (green or red depending on your preferences)

-Granola

-Dried Cranberries

-Chocolate Chips OR Chocolate Covered Raisins

-Peanut Butter

  1. Cut the apples into bite sized thins.
  2. Spread peanut butter (or almond butter if you’d prefer) generously across each slice.
  3. Sprinkle the granola and dried cranberries.
  4. For the chocolate, I only had chocolate covered raisins laying around so I cut those into small pieces and sprinkled them.
  5. Viola!
